An interactive wallpaper
The wallpaper concept depicts two printed layers containing information about deforestation, monoculture and water pollution in the Amazon forest in 1991 and 2004. The top layer is screen printed with thermo chromatic ink. By touching the print, the user discovers in the second layer, the human impact on deforestation, monoculture and water pollution in the Amazon.
I GO YOU STAY TWO AUTUMNS
"I go you stay two autumns" by Taniguchi Buson is a Japanese haiku poem. In English, haiku are usually written in three lines to equate to the three parts of a haiku in Japanese that traditionally consist of five, seven, and then five syllables.
A haiku traditionally contains a season word, which symbolizes or intimates the season in which the poem is set.
In my recent project I have been investigating the potential of thermo chromatic ink. According to the surrounding temperature, thermo chromatic ink either changes colour or becomes invisible. By switching the different lines on and off I want to give insight into the haikuŐs structure.
My final aim is to produce a series of posters depicting the possibilities of this ink to innovate the traditional printing process and to create a grid by printing different layers of information on top of each other to control the observerŐs view in a time pattern.
